It's my computer and I decide what's going on, and not a 'self-operating software' that even detect my self maded visual basic programs as spyware

One that can differentiate between port scans and more harmless attacks and really hone in on a real attack.
Seems like every firewall or similar software Ive ever tried I get inundated with false alarms and doesnt really define in laymans terms whats what.

Jesus people, Cmon...is all that really necessary? where the hell are you people surfing?.. If it takes all of that to keep your box working ya might wanna reconsider what pages you are loading...
Keep it simple...
Anti Virus - NOD32..An "Aussie" Anti Virii Proggie that is simply the best out there..
Windows Defender- Yes, a MS product..Personally I dont like it as much as I did "AntiSpy" But it gets the job done.
I do test this against Ad-aware and Spybot on occassion, through a UBCD4 CD that I created... Windows Defender does a great job.
Firewall(s) - Zone Alarm, Windows, And one with the modem..
Ccleaner- Set to run at every Boot, if I dont run it first...
Also I think many of you would do very well to pay attention/heed to Jafo's statement
Allot of the programs you are installing to keep your boc clean & Safe are just allowing their own brand of spyware...you may be infested, Ironic..isnt it?..LoL
I do agree 100% with one statement, Nortons is a piece of junk, if you want to do the worst thing possible for your PC..Install it...LoL
"Simplify" - It is not that difficult to maintain your 'puter with a little common sense...

Common Sense go with knowledge it's not a thing that the nature give you at birth LOL I have made this post for beginners
And Common Sense are ok for somethings but with spyware and other not...
In more this is a post/article to allow users to know different soft to keep clear And powerful their PC that means that we talk about antivirus antispyware but also customization soft like TweakXP and other to give at everybody the right to know them.
Your statement sound like eleticism for me and i don't like this.
Everybody know that i'm in general kind (take a look at the middle of this post and you view that the discussion go to an other way and i have agree with this cause it's fun)
But you passed here to put your peusdo knowledge and without look at all the tread LOL
It's said here that Norton is a piece of junk like you said, But it's said that the others softwares are free(not all) and without spyware and other! i use some of them since more time that you can think and i know that my Pc is clean and powerful.
I could be really happy if you want talk about this (please don't take care of my english and just think that i used a computer(like administrator) since many years)
In more I manage a network of 7 computers (also the management of softs utilities cleaning and others) one fax 3 prints one scanner at home! LOL
Yes a guy or two have post their soft and it's good if they said a thing that an other user think it's not a good soft or if it's a wrong way that's ok for me at less that can allow us to make a real discussion about it not just a statement with a "i know and you not take a little common sense".
We are here for learn and have fun not for this kind of statement....
