inactive and active titlebars (the blue ones)
Saturday, February 24, 2007 by Vampothika | Discussion: Skinning
okay.....when im flipping through my skinstudio going through my own skin, I always come across two blue frames, for inactive and active, for the titlebar and the sides and the bottom. now I know that some dont skin this, and ive seen some that do. When I tried to skin them myself, experimenting as I do...i actually lost my buttons! the min, max and close, they just dissapeared. I did skin the two titlebars with my windowframe2uis....so was that the reason? and I skinned the sides with the right and left uis and the bottom with the bottom uis....
so how does one skin those inactive/active blue frames and keep their buttons, and eat their cake too?

Not sure but I think using png/tga is the best way to go whenever possible, better then bitmap with magic pink.
I have a skin I have been playing at for awhile, png buttons (not a complete set) I could not, tried everything I could think of, get buttons to not show up. Had all transparency and translucency off for buttons and caption but buttons were still there.
Are you using uis as per pixel, the way the top, bottom and sides match in per pixel is different than uis. Top is complete imag left to right sides start under it not beside it as in uis skin, bottom is same complete image left to right.
