Treetog & Stardock Design Release the Omega Premium Suite

Wednesday, February 7, 2007 by Zoomba | Discussion: WinCustomize News

Looking for a stunning theme you can use day after day?  Well, with Omega by community skinner Treetog for Stardock Design, your search has reached its end!

Omega will transform your drab and boring Windows desktop into something breathtaking and sophisticated.  The Omega suite includes a visual style, an icon package with over 70 new icons, and a matching wallpaper.  On top of that, there's an extras pack that comes along with the suite which includes matching LogonStudio and BootSkin skins, and three gadgets!

It's a total Windows make-over!

Previously only available as a stand-alone theme, Omega is now available to anyone with WindowBlinds, IconPackager and ThemeManager installed on their system.

Omega is $9.95, or $8.95 for current Object Desktop subscribers.  A worthy addition to any library of themes.

How is it not changing?  If you click on the city/state, it should give you an option to change the zip code, or type in a location.

Looks nice with Vista except the tabs in IE7 look a little funky, but I can deal with that.

For the weather you have to install the "StardockWeatherOCX_setup.exe". It explains it the READ ME file.

Yeah, we haven't made everything Vista compliant yet, but we're working on it!

Yep, this is true.

Open the skin in skin studio and go to Miscellaneous > Colors and there are some Background colors there you can change (Background - MDI and Background - Window) that you can play with.

Treetog... good suite overall... but, wish now that I didn't buy it. The only reason I'm not going to make a huge complaint about wanting my money back is because the cost is so reasonable. Unfortunately, I find the overall quality does not strike me as good as your other projects. The icons are not as crisp and have jagged edges when viewed against lighter colors (I've tried various sizes with the same issue), the blinds background color is too dark, and I'm finding that the text colors can be hard to read. I've also seen an anomaly when clicking on certain menus where there is an entire section as transparent but with a dark border around it and finally some web buttons are unreadable in Firefox. Other than that, it is good overall.

Great work but why have a bootscreen and not include a logonscreen.....

PS. Someone needs to make a winamp for this one.
