Featured skins question

Just curious; since there is, on the gallery page, a section for screenshot of the day, why is todays featured skin a screenshot.

Its probably a bug like the same screenshot has been featured for a week now.

Actually , its been the same " Daily shot " since the new site launched - I mentioned this on that other thread but no one replied about it - I assume your right and its a bug - too bad daily shot is kinda hidden at the bottom of the gallery page though.

Yes, it should be on the home page as it was on the old site.

Yeah - but there doesn't seem to be any room left on the front page..its pretty full.
Maybe they will work it out.
~ I still believe screen shots are an important part of WC.
It gives people a chance to participate that have no skinning knowledge. But, I've seen lots that start out just tweaking others work and go on to skinning...or making walls etc.
~ Granted- some just never get the concept that one fantastic screen shot you make in a day is worth much more than 5 tossed together shots just to amuse themselves.

In other words I may not skin apps but look at what I can do and contribute

I enjoy looking at SS. I see things that I go and get if the person gave props. But, I don't see a need for people to upload 3-5 a day. Thats a bit much in my mind. Thats more of a job than enjoying the skins.

And if you asked the others that usually make screen shots - they don't like it either and resent that their shots get pushed aside to accommodate the ones that upload 5 in a row - normally I just look at 1 of the 5 and may comment. When I only made screen shots I don't think I ever made more than one or 2 a week. Mostly cos I spent a long time making each one - trying to add my own touch to things. Just uploading the same wall - wb - etc that comes with a suite is redundant after the skinner made their own preview.

My Secret - you hardly over did it on screen shots - believe me - I was enjoying yours a lot - you mixed and matched a lot of different stuff.
