Ok, i just downloaded a theme, now what?

Unzip it.
Inside should be a xxxx.dxtheme (possibly xxxx.desktop) with some other components to be applied.
If you have DesktopX the program installed, double clicking the .dxtheme will cause it to self-install.
If you don't have DesktopX installed, it won't work. You need DesktopX installed in order to use DesktopX themes.
From the Description box:
DesktopX Themes
DesktopX themes are single files that when applied by DesktopX can totally change the way your Windows desktop looks and feels. You can use these to create entirely new desktop environments. They're easy to use and can be turned off with a couple of clicks if you don't like one.

You will need DesktopX installed to use DesktopX Themes.
Each gallery has a Description Box with links to the needed software(s).

After it is installed, usually you can just double-click the file and go from there.
