All Library search borked

Whenever I try to search for something in all libraries, either through the Wincustomize Firefox search plugin (which does all libraries), or just going into a library and switching it to all libraries, it always says "There are no items to display at this time. Please try again later"
Example: searching for Jitter in all libraries gets the error above, search in just the Windowblinds category and the essorant skin comes right up.
This happens on the current site version, I can't even figure out how to do it on the 2k7 version of the site.
I'm sure it used to work before, not sure when it started doing this.
