Removing sound from curser xp

Friday, December 22, 2006 by Predatorsue | Discussion: Object Desktop

I am using the windowblind NeOsB along with the cursors that go with it.  How do I turn off the sound on the cursor?  I have turned my computer upside down trying to figure out where the sound controls for the cursor are hidden and cannot find it.  Cursor xp must be overriding my system sounds?????? Thanks....Susan

if you have Cursor XP plus -

open configure CursorXP
Sound tab
check disable all or pick individual event (highlight event, change sound, choose one or none in the drop down)

I only have Cursor XP, I don't have the Plus.

CursorXP will not play sounds in the non-plus version. The sounds are included in the WindowBlinds skin.
Depending on what version of WindowBlinds you're using, you can disable sounds in either Basic Settings, or Override default settings....

I have Windowblinds 5 and still can't find anywhere in either basic settings or override default that will remove the sound.

WIth the newer version of WindowBlinds, the Config dialog changed.
Override default settings > WindowBlinds settings > "Play sounds defined by the skin (if any)"
In previous versions, a similar setting will be found in Basic Settings.

I wanted to double-check and see if there are any sounds in the cursorxp set, but I can't seem to locate the NeOSB theme in the CursorXP library.......

I know there are sound files in the WindowBlinds skin.

Sorry, I'm having one of those weeks! I am using neOSB for my windowblinds but the cursor XP is Water Dragon II. Sorry to have wasted your time looking for the wrong one. Where do I look to see if there are any sounds in the cursor set? I appreciate your taking the time to help.....Susan
Erk.

As stated above, there are NO sounds in the cursorXP free version, no matter what cursor you are using.

The sounds are coming from neOS the WindowBlind... steps were shown [above] on how to disable those.
