thanks a lot for you all and....
Thursday, December 21, 2006 by ArileenDesign | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
I come here, with this message, to say a very large thank you with all those which downloaded my theme and my creations.
But I make a point of saying to all those who did not like and who will not like to avoid the messages of insults by email.
(Like: "another part of junk in the garden of creation", "a large shit made by somebody who is caught for a creator", or "all those who does not like what you make tell them fuck off" and more)
The freedom of expression must be to respect.
But that you like or not: remain courteous that it is towards me or towards the other authors
As much I come here to share my work. I do not do it for the money (it is free), or to become famous, but just to exchange and leave a trace of my transitory passage on Earth.
Then here, it is known as.
I like the tolerance, the exchange and the respect.
I do not love the people who do not have anything other to make but insult the others and which do not know the direction of the word respect.
Thank you with you who downloaded my creations that you liked them or not.
Thank you for the malls and the messages for congratulations and thanks.
Thank you for the messages which enabled me by their criticisms constructive to improve my work (Like Chasbo for example).
I will not communicate the names and the emails of the insulting people.
I do not come here to push with lynching.
I come to say what I have on the heart and to lead the peoples to reflect on this word: RESPECT; and to thank all those which know what it is.
The emails of the authors are here so that one can ask of the assistance or make constructive remarks, and incidentally to say simply thank you or to congratulate.
The emails of the authors are not here to insult them or insult those which did not like their creations.
I thank all the Stardock and Wincutomize' team for their extraordinary work.
Quentin94: self-educated data processing specialist and small contributor of this awesome website.
i hope you understand me.

But I am afraid that what I said can be badly perceived.
I want to say that it is not the majority of the messages which are like that.
Perhaps that represent 2 messages out of 10. But that remains enough to rot you one day.

At the beginning I spent more time reflecting on the fact of putting my address email or not, than namely if I were going to put my creations on the Net.
But what with fact that I put it: it is that I know what it is to be able there not to understand what the people say and/or what they make and how they make it.
I thought just that the people could use this information in a respectful way. It is the first time that I see that. It is since my dxtheme is on the site.

Quentin...I personally think that one 'nasty' email is simply one TOO many.
Wincustomize.com specifically, and skinning in general is about providing people with interesting and enjoyable options with what 'they' do with their operating systems. And there is no place for such negativity via public comment or private email.
Those who think this is 'OK' are sadly mistaken.
It is a fact of life that idiots do exist amongst the sane, but their lives will be either troubled or short, but never rewarded...

Merry Christmas with you all.
Just a small thing moreover more apparently it does not have there than the insults.
I receive more and more mall containing of the viruses as that:
Viruses found in the attached files.
The file sample5.pif: Virus identified I-Worm/Netsky.T. The attachment was moved to the virus vault.
Checked by AVG Free Edition.
Version: 7.5.432 / Virus Database: 268.15.26/597 - Release Date: 21/12/2006 18:45
coming from: [email protected]
Date : 12/22/06 14:38:46
to : [email protected]
object : Re: Sample
Hello!
Please read the sample.
Becareful virus!
Still one!
Knowing that this address email did not state that on wincustomize.com and Deviantart.com. Coincidence? I do not think. The dates correspond.
Then either a customer of one of these two sites at infected summer,
or crafty one has fun to recover the emails to send viruses,
or somebody of disposed evil the fact to tell me shit.
I hope of any heart that it is the second option.
Be careful when you open your malls.
Me I make them analyze by my antivirus (Free and powerful) and I open them on the distant platform of my supplier, never on my PC.
This virus cuts all your programs of sauvergarde, your antiviruses and uses your emails of contact and their sending this message.
Please Pay attention.

I know how function this virus.
But I do not understand. My email is right on this site and that of deviantart (in the description of my topic).
But I prefer to think that nobody was infected and that nobody is sufficiently nut to play with viruses like that one.
But on another side we do not have business here with a virus intelligent and changing. It always uses the same type of file (exe) and the same kind of text.
In the event, none research which I have make until now on the Web does not speak about a sample.pif file used by this virus.
What do you think about it?

| I open them on the distant platform of my supplier |
I, also, do this if I don't know who it's from, or seems the least bit suspicious. If the sender is unknown to me, I almost always delete the item as fast as I can.
These days, I receive more and more spam, and occasional viruses, that mostly are stopped by my ISP and its Postini program. Some get through, however. I use McAfee AV Suite and AdAware/AdWatch. So far, so good... Thank You for the information on AVG.

Quentin ....it's not acceptable for these people to be abusing you in this way.
As you say, "The emails of the authors are not here to insult them or insult those which did not like their creations" or, more clearly [for those reading this] ...
The Users'/Skinners' emails are not provided for people to use to insult and/or abuse their fellow members, whatever the perceived 'reason'.
https://www.wincustomize.com/AboutSite.aspx .... has 'RULES' listed [to be updated for 2K7].
The Rules
This site is a community site. As such, we expect users to behave with honor and integrity. Treat the person you post to or comment on a skin to as if they are sitting next to you. Picture this place as a nice, comfortable resort surrounded by friends.

If anyone considers themselves to be beyond/above these rules then it would be advisable for them to simply 'move on elsewhere'.
