Confused
Like always when it comes to this stuff.

Second, I just made my first bootskin in a really long time, and I can't figure something out... I've made everything and saved the file as Skullboot.bootskin, but it won't come up in my BootSkin program, and I have no idea as to why it won't show up so I can use it.
Any ideas on how I go about fixing this little problem?
(All files are the right file types, and everything, and if I'm not mistaken so is the BootSkin.ini file...I could be mistaken though, so here it is.
[BootSkin]
Type=0
Name = Skullboot
Author = Malicious Dreamz
Description = My noot skin
ProgressBar=ProgressBar.bmp
ProgressBarX = 265
ProgressBarY = 383
ProgressBarWidth = 118
Screen=Skullboot.bmp)
Thanks in advance for any help that is given.

Other than that, take away the ")" after the screen image's name.
Also make sure the .ini is labeled as "bootskin.ini" NOT the folder/bootskin name.

Creating the background and progress bar images correctly is the first step. They must be 4-bit depth bitmaps of specific size. The tutorials Bichur linked are great for learning what this means.
The second step is creating the bootskin.ini file and packaging the bootskin.
If you have the correct format images, you can use Bootskin Buddy to finish. BB will create your bootskin package for you, and warn you of errors.

Here's my bootskin.ini file, for sydneysiders (or anyone that wants to copy the file, and change what they need to change.
[BootSkin]
Type=0
Name="Skullboot"
Author="Malicious Dreamz"
Description="My Bootskin"
ProgressBar=SkullProgress.bmp
ProgressBarX=265
ProgressBarY=383
ProgressBarWidth=118
Screen=Skullboot.bmp
PS. Make sure you use NOTEPAD, from start menu, accessories, notepad. DO NOT right click desktop and hit new text document.
other than that, just make sure your files are the right size. BG Image 640 x 480. Progress Bar 22 x 9
