Test Your WB recalling skills!...please

Saturday, December 2, 2006 by Threi | Discussion: WindowBlinds

ok lets see how good you people are at calling out a wb with just an image (of a VS)

here is the dilemma - my laptop is using this VISUAL STYLE:

basically i want to find a WB that looks similar to that, espically the caption buttons cause i love simplistic (not minimalistic) skins like that, or any other usable WB that i havent heard of (gunna be harder than it seems )

P.S. I know of Aerial, StealthOS, RoyaleVista, Noire, and Acrylic so dont mention those

thanks and good luck?

How about Ecliz Deluxe 2? It looks pretty similar to that.

yeah i have both of those...

the thing about ecliz deluxe 2 is that it isnt truly "black", it has a bluish tint to it so recolouring it results in uglyness

as for iflex it is pretty hot but yah i have that too

Well then I'd say try hunting in some of the other sites like DA and the other skin sites.

What about Pristine OS 1.1? Link
It's got a couple little flaws but a really nice clean dark skin.

have that too

im trying to stay clear of skins that have vista-like colors, because i am trying to make a black and red theme similar to what you see in my laptop screenshot.

Just import it into WB using SkinStudio.

Just what I was thinking Meowy....

If you like a certain VS, just import it into SkinStudio and presto chango...it's now a WB!

i was thinking that too but...its kind of rough for a VS, which is perfect for my laptop but i would expect something of better quality for my desktop.

Once you import it, tweak it. It looks to be a 60,60,60 - 35,35,35 gradient with a pixel of border...190,190,190? and another pixel of black bordering that on your bars. Probably the same on the menu, buttons, etc. so it should be a breeze to replicate.

ok i guess...what i was really talking about though were the scrollbars, but i guess i can tweak those too

i was just hoping there was a polished WB that was similar...
