Download totals problem

Well I have a problem. It's been going on ever since the new WC came out. I've told people about it but I guess pictures do the problem better justice.
Take a look here of my totals on my "My Skins" page:
Notice what it says where I circled it? 205,003 total downloads of my skins. yet take a look at this:
My stats page says I have in fact 207,588 total downloads.
Should not the two say the same thing? It's been a small problem eating away at me for a long while.

None of my skins have been deleted. This little problem needs to be fixed.

I'd suspect they are working on bigger problems at the moment with the launch of the new sites. And this really isn't a big problem. You'll have little glitches like this with a big site and I've know about this glitch for along time with my download counts as well...but I don't see it as a big problem or even a little one...I don't really worry about download counts all that much...I see that people are using my stuff and thats enough for me.

actually with the old site, i have always had that same thing...but i hardly see it as a problem. there are bigger things to concern ourselves with.

Hey Kona, something I mentioned last time you posted about this.
Object Dock items you have here is 12 with 7124 downloads, from your stats page you have 9668 Object Dock downloads from the 71 ( total shown in drop box to sort by skins on your My skins page ) you have submitted. So I would say you have deleted some of them.

Every skin has a link where it mentions how many downloads it has, on a More Details or View Comments page and elsewhere. If you click this you can get some download information for the particular skin.
The numbers usually reflect actual unique downloads, which makes sense. But total downloads, including repeats, are also tracked.
It's possible that the number on the Stats page reflects the sum total downloads, while the number on My Skins page reflects sum unique downloads. This is speculation, though.
My own Stats page also shows a higher number than the one on My Skins. If this is always the case, it would support this theory.

also Kona, i seem to recall you saying "you werent skinning anymore" so if that is the case, why are you so concerned about your download totals not matching?

i dont think thats right b/c my actual downloads vs. my unique downloads is several thousands apart. My download # vs. stat downloads is only a hundred or so different

It is also possible that one page has access to more recent numbers when calculating the number to show. The numbers for an individual skin can vary from the info pane, to the my skins, to the gallery, to the download details link. If each of these access numbers that are updated on different schedules, for example, it would explain temporary discrepancies with overall average agreement.

If none deleted by Kona, that would mean 59 did not make it past moderation, I can't see that having happened.
If you delete a skin download count still shows on stats page, not on My skins as skin is not there, if, i believe, skins deleted by a admin/mod even if you asked them to, download totals are deleted also.

Hey RR, stats pages use to refresh once a day, but are now a live count as the My Skins pages are.

I have NEVER deleted any skins EVER. I might have taken a few individal OD icons and put them into a pack but that's about it. I never had this totals problem till the new site went up.
Nothing of mine has ever been rejected. I've never asked for anything to be removed. Nor has anyone else asked the mods to remove any of my skins.
I'm thinking the stats page is messed up as well.

You have never had anything rejected so you put 59 icons into packs, did not delete the single icons but they are no longer here.

I mean really...download counts don't matter that much...I mean just because I'M ALMOST AT THE 250,000 MARK! ...Oops...sorry...didn't mean to shout! But like I was saying....lol
