Windowblinds not loading

Friday, November 17, 2006 by gmachine | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Just recieved new Dell computer with windows xp pro media installed. Can't get windowblinds to skin taskbar or load at startup. A couple of times I got it to skin taskbar, but when I reboot it reverts back to standard xp or basic taskbar. When I go to settings and pick a new windowblind skin, and try to apply it, it dosen't work.  any idea's. Using standard 96DPI fonts on 20" wscreen monitor.

Is it the trial or purchased version of WB? Click the "System Information" tab in WB and copy it and post it here.

Does WB run and apply at all?
Is it just at startup it's not running?
Is it an admin account or limited?

WB runs perfect except at startup. I updated the software and it the startup was working for a couple of days but now I have to start it manually again.
It runs on an admin account.

You might want to submit a help ticket

starting to see some revivals of wb not running with limited users, but not seeing this

you aren't setting to an xp default skin before shutting down? that causes it not to run at startup (it's the default 'off button')

I do not change the skin to default. It is quite strange. Some days it is working then suddenly it's not. Not sure what to think of it.
