Superman Returns WMP skin

Wednesday, October 25, 2006 by steelsheen | Discussion: Skinning

hey there folks!

i was wondering if the Superman Returns WMP skin will ever be available for download? i'm aware that it was packaged with Alienware but not everyone will be able to buy a $3k PC, and even if one can afford it not everyone could get that PC since they're assembling only a limited number of machines (IIRC their ad correctly). that leaves thousands of people who just wants the Superman skins.

and on a personal note i thought its a little unfair to people-- both regular folks and Superman fans-- that a very cool looking skin is denied them. i figured if it can be done for Batman Begins-- where the WMP skin is easily downloadable-- why not for Superman Returns?

It was commissioned specifically for the Alienware computers, and was/is only available to those who buy that particular brand/model.

It was part of the incentive to buy.

If it [the skin/s] was/were released for download to the general public, those that purchased Alienware rigs would feel more than just a little annoyed, since they paid for something 'exclusive' to them.

nah, team skinsfactory should sell those suites as premium eeh., suites?

..since i loose part of the skins when i change my main HD, i can't recover Alienware Darkstar theme.., not even Invader!!!

my point exactly. what about those who wishes to purchase just the suites? not everyone could afford to shell out $3,000 for a computer they dont need just for the suites, but most are willing to spend $100 for a suite about their favorite superhero.

in any case, does this mean that the Superman skin-- even just the WMP skin-- will never be available for download (premium or otherwise) ever?

Only the Alienware folks can answer that. It's their property, so their decision.

SiRacer420 ...it is none too clever to boast about warez procurement.

Alienware recently sponsored the GUI Championships [prizes, etc] and just for that alone is highly regarded here within the skinning Community.

Perhaps a longer membership than 1 hour would have enabled you to realise what is 'wanted' re conduct/contribution within the Wincustomize.com Community...

Erk was gonna say the above [albiet in a different way], but thought it prudent to keep his 'trap' shut...
