OD Plus Recycle Bin

Using Object Dock Plus, and Im wanting to use the Recycle bin icon in the tabbed dock. Here is my predicament <--- spellcheck that.
I have the Recycle Bin Icon in the dock and i have the Recycle Bin on the desktop as well. No need to have 2 of them right. So i wanted to get rid of the Recycle Bin on the dektop and i used this offsite tutorial:

and it got rid of the recycle bin on the desktop, but then the icon on the dock quite working as well. So. I readded the Recycle Bin to the desktop (had to use a different tutorial for that as the one in the link above didn't work for readding it) and the Recycle Bin icon in the Dock started working again.
How can i get rid of the Recycle Bin on the Dektop and still make the one in the dock work?
Using XP Pro SP2. Any help is greatly appreciated.

arrange icons by
uncheck - show desktop icons
but maybe it's too simple for Pro ( I think I read somewhere here that doesn't work on pro)

THAT ALSO WORKS ON XP PRO.
