The best way to start is to buy the whole ObjectDesktop suite. It will include such programs as DesktopX, Windowblinds, etc.
ObjectDesktop
If you want to start out with just Windowblinds, you can always upgrade later.
Windowblinds
Then you can just browse the galleries for skins and themes that you like.

Hi kiannasr! My advice (as a happy customer during my first year) is to buy Object Desktop. The software you get for the money is a real bargain. You will also be able to do more with your desktop themes with Object Desktop than you can with Window Blinds alone. I have found this to be a consistent opinion among people that they are very satisfied with Object Desktop because it is the full package.

download the skin you want
double click on the windowblinds theme you downloaded to install it
go to the system tray and double click on the windowblind icon
scroll until you see the theme you want to untill you see the theme you want tp apply
look at the preview and press "apply theme"
you are done
