Windowblinds and Wallpaper Changing
Wednesday, October 11, 2006 by wscwebyoda | Discussion: WindowBlinds
I wrote a message over a month ago about the wallpaper changer feature not working in Windowblinds. Well, it still does not appear to be working in the latest build of WB. The only option that does work is the change at login... but, it does not work on the hourly option. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks for the help!
Listed below is the system info from WB:

Tried changing my wallpaper every hour - worked fine.
how were you set up Fuzzy?
WB not checked to use wall supplied?
did you start with a wall no in the change list?
things like that...

WB not using wall supplied. Wall set initially by WB (choosing a wall by other methods over-ride WB). Other config as below:
I've changed wall since then (not in WB) and that has stopped it changing

Hopefully, they will find the trouble and get it fixed!

Well, time is still ticking away with no answers from Stardock or within these forums.
Did you try Reply #25's method? <---- That looks like a reply "within these forums"
We are currently looking into why this appears to be happening and once we find out why we will update 5.1.
Also that appears to be a reply from Stardock.

We believe we have resolved the problem with the wallpaper changer hourly option. It seems having done initial testing with it set to 1 minute, it got broken when it was changed to every hour.
We have also modified WB to hardcode the IE7 tab text to black to avoid some reported issues with the IE7 tabs using skin colours for the text, but a hardcoded image for the tabs.
Once the new build has been tested, it will be released as an update.
wscwebyoda: I am not aware of any cleartype issues being caused by WB 5.1. Could you explain further?
bkmo: Some skin authors make assumptions about the size of various things (in particular the startmenu) and their skins to not handle 120 dpi well. You will need to speak to the skin authors as it is not a problem in WB.
Likewise some ownerdrawn menus can have odd text with some skins, but this is because the skin author chose a very poor colour combination. Again you will need to speak to the author of the skin, as WB is not at fault. When skinning menus you have to make sure that various colours are similar.
