Help using Windows themes!

Sunday, September 24, 2006 by Duggers | Discussion: WindowBlinds

I have installed a windowblinds and I have a theme that I like, but every so often, I like to switch back to the official Media Center Edition theme, but every time I do it via Control Panel, it either fails to display in the preview box or loads the classic windows them. Can someone please help me!?

Try switching your 'theme' using the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and see if that fixes it.

Where is the Configuration Screen?
P.S. It is not really a theme, it is more of an option under the 'Appearance' tab, it is the one that came with the PC!

You'll find an icon in your system tray at the bottom right which when you put your cursor over it will say WindowBlinds 5.0 .... Double-click that and the WindowBlinds Configuration screen will open. You will see the included Blinds as well as the XP ones. Just find the Windows Media Center one and select it and click Apply Changes.

If the Windows XP Media Center theme is listed in the Display Properties\Themes tab\Theme drop-down list, you could try the following:

1 - Apply the "Windows Classic" theme with WindowBlinds (Start WB > select 'Windows Classic' at far left of list > click 'Apply Changes').

2 - Reboot computer

3 - Right-click the desktop > select 'Properties' > use the 'Themes tab\Theme list' to select the theme you want > click 'Apply'.

Note - this assumes you did not disable the "Themes" service.

how does a trial version get a file dated 4/28/2006 when it was added to download.com on 3/21/2006?
