As you know Windows Vista require high perfomance PC's. But we almost don't know that exacly is the PC's we are using able to run windows Vista or not.
Here is usefull thing that can check our PC's compatibility. It not only check compatibility issues and give reports it also recommend what is solution to resolve them.

I gave it a go and work quite well, gave me informations about what should I do before installling vista and after...nice one, thanks for the tip

You can try in both.
Before installing Vista is more better then after installing Vista.
But If you already instlled Vista and good performance then this software will give recommendation what has to be change and what is missing.

The requirements that this utility says are necessary to run the "Premium" editions of Vista are a bit "deceptive" and can give the impression that a system that is more than capable of running it are not. Let me use my own newly-built system to illustrate:
My System Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
ASUS M2N-E ATX AM2 Nforce 570
Mushkin SP PC2-5300 2GB
EVGA E-GEFORCE 7600 GT KO 580MHZ 256MB
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA2 7200RPM 16MB
LG GSA-H10N DVD+RW 16X8X16 DVD-RW 16X6X16 Dual Layer 10X/6X DVD-RAM 12X Writer 2M
Now, according to the "Vista Upgrade Advisor", the system above is only capable of running "Vista Basic".
Now, the question is, "Why?". Well, it seems that that the Advisor doesn't like the fact that I don't have a dedicated sound card and because the Asus motherboard has an "Overclocking" utility in the BIOS, which btw is currently disabled, this system is rated at being at the bottom of the list. There is no argument that a system as this is more than capable of running any of the Vista editions, including "Premium". Thus a little common sense is necessary in evaluating the results one may see.
