Prudence185 you really need to start a new thread and not bring back one that is five and a half years old.
The above being said, you can start by looking at this page in the WinCustomize Wiki for help on how to use ObjectDock.

Opening an old thread is fine...people do it all the time...and this one didn't get much use anyway.
Prudence185...what do you need to know? And what version are you using?

C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Backgrounds
Reload OD, and it should be selectable in your list of docks
EDIT:
Upon downloading the dock, I noticed it had 4 folders. Paste all 4 into that directory, and they are all selectable from the list. I assume you have OD Plus... not sure if there are any non-tab versions.
Hope this helps you.
