Surprise automatic installation of WB skin
instead of file download dialog

Normally, if I like a skin, I click "download", then get the file download dialogue box, click "save", then the "save as" dialog (I always download everything to the desktop) & then it's the download animation. Done it a million times.
This time, however, with "Buuf", after clicking download, the WB icon appears in the systray, I get the "Buuf-loading" graphic & the WB has not only loaded itself, but also installed it's own toolbar icons & file animations.
The skins OK, but this is a little presumptuous, don't you think?
I am a WC subsciber, was logged in, I use Avant.

If you right-click on the "Download" link you will get the save as option.

If it applied itself it will be because you clicked the tooltip by mistake that tells you the skin is being installed.
Downloading a WBA cannot apply it (that would be a potential security hole), but it can install the skin and add it to the list of skins you can pick from.

Somewhat the same thing happens to me. When I click "download" on a WindowBlinds skin, it doesn't ask me if I want to open it or save it, it just automatically opens the .wba file but does not apply the skin because I dont click the tooltip...

I think the problem being described here has nothing to do with WB , it's the auto download feature of your chosen web browser, untick the "do this automatically from now on" to get the save or open prompt. As for automatically applying the skin , it is very easy to click that bubble by accident as a .wba file has no way of auto installing without user intervention

A noble convienience feature, however don't you think that since it is so easy to accidently click that tool tip an have the skin applied that one could also consider it a borderline security issue?
