Question and in need of some assistance.

Can someone explain to me the settings to ONLY change the task bar? Is there a way to do this?

The problem is, I love the "A Touch of Glass" skin but at the same time I like my Windows Media Center "Energy Blue" theme.

I only want the task bar (I think that's the bar at the bottom) to be skinned by "A touch of glass", but the rest of my settings to stay the default Windows Media Center.

What do I check and uncheck? I only want the task bar at the bottom to be changed.

I want the fonts, windows, borders, start menu, etc. to all be the default Windows Media Center settings.

This is weird, I unchecked all the "Skin Advanced Controls", but my internet browser, scrollbars and such are still "skinned".

try unchecking everything in 'basic' settings, then in 'user overrides' check the 'always use this taskbar' = apply, then change skins (or maybe logoff/logon)

You might consider ObjectBar. One of the many capabilities of ObjectBar is to create an improved version of the standard start / taskbar. ObjectBar skins can also usually be easily set to automatically take on the appearance of the current WindowBlind, or any WindowBlind at all! So you could create your super-startbar then give it the Touch of Glass skin, while changing your windows through WindowBlinds. An eagerly anticipated update to ObjectBar is expected this week. Some things may have changed, but I bet there'll be a standard included bar or two that demonstrates this ability!

Gosh I can't get this to work.

I did the try unchecking everything in 'basic' settings, then in 'user overrides' check the 'always use this taskbar' and selected A Touch of Glass, but it idn't change the taskbar, only the start button.

I still have everything unchecked and my scrollbar and everything else I don't want changed is still changing.
