You can blame Vista for the slow down in development. The OSX will be right behind the latest update for Vista users (currently in beta). Please look to Stardock.com and Stardock Central for updates. Belive me we will let all the world know when this function of the product is ready.

I have to say that this is a hot button for me as well. I use Multiplicity for my home office between work and my home computer, but can't do anything about the Mac other than remote control. I'd love to see this even in beta format.

Have any of you tried Synergy? http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/
It is the same idea as Multiplicity. It isn't as nice as Multiplicity, it can't drag/drop files and I think it only supports controlling 2 computers in addition to the host computer. It does support clipboard sharing, however, and works on OS X and Windows.

Personally, I'd recommend using Synergy until Multiplicity works on OS X and until they get the Vista x64 problems worked out. Then buy Multiplicity since, despite it's problems, is quite cool.

I have participated in these threads before without any success but I want the OS X version so badly that I'm going to post again. I purchased the Pro version of Multiplicity 6/13/05 and I am still waiting for OS X support. I know this is not a huge market versus the people that need it to work on Vista but Mac people tend to be fiercely loyal to companies that support their favorite OS and I hope that Stardock puts some resources behind the OS X client to earn some of that loyalty.

On August 29, 2006 an installer was being worked on. A month later the installer was being "tweaked". Obviously Mac support is of no priority. If there end up being bugs, what level of support could we expect?
Stardock may have been wiser to not advertise an OS X version at all until it was ready to ship, because now many customers have little confidence.

I'm curious as well about the OSX version. I've recently acquired a Mac Mini to allow testing of my websites on the Mac system. It'd be nice to get rid of the extra set of mouse and keyboard on my desk.
And update on plans for OSX and Linux version would be nice.

Let me first say that I am sorry for what is going to sound mean, but I have now owned this software for more then 2 1/2 years. Since my first purchase it was stated that a MacOS version was 'soon to be released' Back then I used several PCs as well as a Mac. I have since gotten rid of the other PCs and only own a WinXP and IntelMac.
Last year there was a version that was only being tweaked because the software or the mac locked up when shutting down. I am not sure which that was. But either can be easily ignored by users who really need this functionality. Sadly at this point I have had to use a Free product in place of software I paid 70 dollars for. At this point I would ask that you either release a beta or if you do not plan on really giving this support, say so and remove it from your website.
My greatest fear right now is that you are going to release it and there be a problem that we will have to wait another two years to have fixed.

I've been a long time Multiplicity Pro user (May '05) and have become very reliant on it both at home and at work. It's a fantastic program but it seems to be poorly supported. I'm still having sporadic connectivity issues which the latest beta build addresses a little bit. Beta and released builds are far and few between (over 2 years and we're only on 1.2x with no new features and still buggy connectivity). As a Windows user, I feel somewhat disappointment in the lack of support for this product. I can only imagine how frustrating it has been for Mac users who have been waiting since the product was announced.
I'm thinking about switching my laptop over to a MacBook Pro and I was almost certain there was an OS/X version of MP, since it's been over 2 years since I first bought it. Boy was I surprised!
PLEASE release a beta OS/X client soon...or let us know a realistic timeframe when a production version will be ready.

Weshsu: What features are you looking for?
We have added new features to MP since 1.0 and in particular the recent MP 1.21 betas introduce a number of new features including the display sharing function, the tooltip notifications of connection / disconnect and a few other changes.
Many people at Stardock use Multiplicity every day without problems. If you are having problems then please let us know so we can assist. Problems are not normal.
Regarding the OSX client, I also find the delays to this frustrating. It is a combination of factors that have caused the delays, both technical and non technical.
On PPC based macs it works well, but on the newer intel ones there is a problem caused by the emulator. This is going to be resolved by switching the app to be a universal app but it has to wait until time is freed up. I am hopeful development time can be found in the next couple of months for this.
