GUI Championship is coming
Skinners, start your skinning..

The third world GUI Championship (previously called the GUI Olympics) is about to get going.
The three contests will be WindowBlinds skins, Icon packages (with at least 55 icons), and wallpapers.
Nearly $10,000 in cash and prizes will be handed out to the winners. The formal announcement will be next week but since some of this stuff takes considerable time to do, we wanted to make sure people had time. Events in each contest will include most usable, most original, and best overall (and possibly others).
ANYONE can participate as long as they aren't a judge of course. Stardock will NOT be judging (though I may be an alternate judge in the event that one of the official judges is not able to judge a particular event in time). Registed users will be able to vote on skins to bring it down to a top 10 in each category with the judges judging the 10 finalists.
Submissions must be NEW (i.e. you can't take an existing skin and submit it). Official announcement next week.

CursorXP -- (1) every hour. (8) hours a day for (4) weeks. Equals 224.
Bootskins -- (1) every (10) min. (8) hours a day for (4) weeks. Equals 1344.
Windowblinds -- (1) every (100) hours. (8) hours a day for (4) weeks. Equals 2.
That's just for (one) person. I would hate to be a judge on CursorXP and Bootskins.
I can see why they aren't a part of it....

nope, i'm not entering the skinning contest.....just logon,wallpaper, and bootscreen.

but we can try to make skins in other categories.
The competitions are fantastic to demonstrate the talent of the skinners that is too much, good luck for the participants
