I cannot hide my Desktop Icons

Ok I have search the forums a bit before posting and to hide my Desktop Icons Iam Suppose to Right click desktop>arrange icons by> show desktop icons... well that isnt there when i try to do it, my operating system is:
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, and I have Service Pack 2, anyone know how I can hide them?

Install TweakUI and head to teh desktop section. Have fun.

that's what I have and 'show desktop icons' is right where it's supposed to be.

my computer has many flaws like that.. i also cant get into control panel without it crashing out of it, which has happened since day 1, then i call dell and the guy that talks to you sounds like Abtar so you cant understand anything..

No ive used system restore once or twice, that is ok

okay. I was gonna suggest Windows Scripten 5.6 to see if that helps.

That option went AWOL on me once, but came back later........ I've never figured out why.

hmm i installed it and i couldnt use my windows blinds skins, and it didnt restore it :/ so i got rid of it.. but TweakUI worked, thanks for the info though

huh... if you are referring to Script 5.6, I've used it before and it had no effect on WB. Glad you got something working though.
