Mute Sound command param-Is there one?

Thursday, August 24, 2006 by aimzzz | Discussion: Personal Computing

Is there a way to make a Mute shortcut / button that would be the equivalent of checking the Mute All box in sndvol32.exe? What I want is a mute toggle.

The only command parameters I can find are:

/tray or /t for systray version

/r for Recording volume

/s for Small display

Maybe there's another way to approach it...

I have a docklet for Object dock and there are objects for DX that can mute.

What are you trying to accomplish?

I want to kill the sound when listening to music or baseball on the web if the phone rings or when commercials come on baseball games. I had in mind to make a dock button if I could find the command that would toggle Mute All

You might invest in one of those cheap multi-media keyboards. Mines got a mute button.

or try this method WWW Link scroll down to Mute.exe

Certain commercials on baseball games make me feel homocidal...

Still wish I knew the command(s), but I'll live
