menus drop out to fast

Thursday, August 10, 2006 by David Lyncheski | Discussion: Personal Computing

when i hover my mouse cursor over a menu, the sub-menu pops-out to fast. i used a thing to make my computer run faster, and this was one of the things it did.

i have bin using tweak ui to change that setting. but every time i restart the computer the setting changes back.

Is there a registry key i can change to set that back?

A quick google later:

Speed Up Menus:
When you move your mouse pointer over submenus, they open up after a momentary delay. You can adjust the delay time to make the menus open faster or slower. Depending on your preference, you should choose a value higher or lower than the default of 400 milliseconds.
HKCU\ Control Panel \ Desktop -- change the MenuShowDelay string value from the default of 400 milliseconds.[/quote]

Edit registry at your own risk. Back it up first.
