Font colors keep shifting
Wednesday, August 9, 2006 by Rakim360 | Discussion: WindowBlinds
. Anyway it seems as though for what ever reason my theme keeps shifting back to the native skin colors for the fonts, i am using Tiggz GT3 windowblinds pack and the white fonts interfere with some apps i run so i went into my theme manager.. control panel/display/appearance/advanced/otheradvancedcontrols and adjusted the fonts to a more usable format for my needs but it often shifts back to the standard white fonts without me telling it too..I have checked in the WB config and found no setting which seems to affect it so the only thing i have been doomed to doing is continually resetting it from within my control panel each time my Display properties revert.. i am fairly certain that it is something simple that i am overlooking. I was hoping someone here would be able to shed some light on my problem. Soooo any and all suggestions are appreciated ESP. the ones that work!!! lol
Thanks in advance guys..

Each skin typically sets the Classic text font colors at bootup or when applied. If you change text font colors using the Display Properties applet while a skin is loaded & click Apply, the text colors you've changed will be applied but nothing gets changed in the skin itself and the next time the skin is applied, the skin's text colors will return. It's like the difference between volatile memory & non-volatile memory - they colors you change in Display Properties are volatile, the colors set in the skin are non-volatile.
You would need to edit the Classic Colors section of the skin itself to make the text color changes "permanent" - SkinStudio is the easiest way to do that.
