Could I have some help installing my new bootscreen and xdesktop files, i dont uderstand, please reply

Install bootskin
Apply provided skin
Reboot
[if bluescreen
retart in safe mode
uninstall bootskin
install earlier version of bootskin
Repeat as neccessary]
Apply provided skin
Reboot
[if bluescreen

i opened the zip file after it was downloaded and theres no install file?

ive downloaded 2 logon screen files and one skin for windows but they download as a zip folder, but when i open the folder theres no install file, theres JPG. images and some scripting but no way to install ne of these?, is this normal or do i have to have another program to extract them? ( i have win rar and it works fine?) could someone please help me with my problem?
