Could someone explain how to install suites for wb?

Thanks in advance.

If you have WindowBlinds already installed, you can use the instructions here http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?AID=82563

Once you have the ".wba" file (WindowBlinds file) downloaded, you can simply double click to install to the correct location.

Once installed, you would simply start WindowBlinds, click the "Rebuild list" button to insure the skin is available in the list. Select the skin and click either "Apply this skin now" link in the preview pane, or click the "Apply Changes" link on the left side of the WindowBlinds configuration panel.

That should do it.

Hi Janise, I'll try. If you have the purchased version of WB5 then its straight forward. Download the WindowBlinds of your choice and simply click on the downloaded file when done and it will self load. The same is true of the complete theme packages just download them, click on them when done (or select run from the download dialogue box) and the Theme Manager will automatically load your downloaded theme. If you have the freeware trail version of WB then you get the blinds it comes with. I'm fairly new to Object Desktop (highly recommended I really am a happy customer) but, I think this is fairly accurate.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

I do have windowblinds and installing individual blinds files I have no difficulty with.

But when I click on the suite, the file has the .suite extension and when it has downloaded, I click on it but it isn't able to install as the extension isn't recognized.

I am completely stumped.

Hi Corky,

Thanks for responding.

I am still having difficulty.

I have no problem with installing the individual files for windowblinds, but when I want to install the file with an .suite extension, I get a message saying that the extension isn't recognized.

Any other suggestions??

For suites you need Theme Manager to install them. Suites are made up of many types of skins, WB, IP, DX etc, you will need the software for each part of the suite you wish to apply.

Hi Cavan1,

Thanks for your reply.

I do have Theme Manager but I never thought of installing suites using that program. I will give it a go.

Hi Bichur,

Thanks for the link.

I already have the Theme Manager program and I will try installing suites using it.
