SDC Connection Error 1001?

After the latest SDC version upgrade it doesn't want to connect. 
And chats not working either.

Found the problem...it was my dang firewall...I must have hit the wrong button when it updated.

Had the same problem...answer Stardock Support...
Hello,
Please try the following:
-Run the file here: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/remove_sdc.bat
-Restart your computer
-Reinstall SDC from here: http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
