Help modifying a dock background

Wednesday, July 5, 2006 by Bebi Bulma | Discussion: ObjectDock

Does anyone know how I would modify the .ini file of the Tiger OD background https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=4481&LibID=29 so I can display the background with only the center piece (that I've cropped)? When I try it with my modified background.png it shows it at the ends (instead of the blue pieces) and nothing in the center, I'm afraid I have no clue what I'm doing.

I think you should just download other plain backgrounds instead of going the hard way...

Probably. But I like how the center piece looks (the gloss and all) and the blue pieces at the ends are overlapping one of my avedesk desklets and I was hoping to crop them out and use it that way. I didn't think it would be this difficult but seems I was mistaken.

Bebi Bulma, I can't answer your original question, however, I did find some similiar alternatives you might want to test. Goodluck!
