a problem with my logonstudio

i have installed the LogonStudio_rc6_unsupported.exe ,use it ,i can load .logonxp file,i have downlaoded some files with the .logonxp ,but when i load them,and apply ,there will be error diog , parser message value creation failed "at line 365. i have to click it about several times.then ,the windows be located,appear the traddional windows diag,input the password,reback to the window,so ,i get the software,but can not apply the file,what can do?

who could help me fix that,thanks!

Do any of the logons that came with it work, there may be an error in the downloaded logon. If the preloaded logons do not work I would suggest a bad install or a corrupt download of LogonStudio, if they do work then the error is in the downloaded logon.
If none work open logonStudio, Restore default XP logon, unistall, redownload, reinstall, then try one of the loaded skins first. If still no go maybe someone who knows what that error is will come along.

Hi, I have the same Problem...


The default logons are working, but logons which I created by my self doesn`t work. When I apply my self created logon, than the Error comes.
I downloaded the latest Version and installed it. But not only for one time, I downloaded it again and again, but not one logonstudio worked...
Can anyone help?
PS.: I know, my english isn`t the best, but I think you`ll understand it ^^ I hope so...

first,thanks to your reply,en ,1,all of the logons that some of the bundle of the software did not work in this software,someothers logons are downowded from the web "wincustomize",i have thought there maybe some corrupt or badinstall,so i have reinstall,also i have recover the default XP logon,that is now i computer's status,but i really want to coustomize my computer,this software can do this ,and may not running some program,my computer is an old ,so , i hope someone could post the following ,thanks.


p,s ,would some friends afford this software's download address,,i have downloaded this from "https://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/download.html".is it correct?i am wonder!

xiaolaotou, if I am understanding correctly none of the logons worked, you say you have retored the XP logon but is your Windows XP, LogonStudio only works with XP, it is strange that the installed logons would not work if you have XP. There may be some files missing or not getting installed properly, maybe someone who would know more will see this thread.
Yes that is the correct download.



Eichi-BLUBBBEL, it may be an error with Bitmap_100, it must be a Bitmap as saved by graphics software, you can't just rename a jpeg to bmp, that will not work. If you still get an error or you do have a proper bitmap-100, post back and maybe someone who knows exactly what that error is will see this thread, it is something you have not done correct that will be causing the error.

You need to open the UI file and go to where that error is written and see what it is ...
To do so you will need a program called "Notepad++" which can be gotten here

Once you find out what is causing the problem you can either adjust it or you may have a problem with the images itself and need to replace one of them. Usually a parser error as this is an image of the wrong format. But you need to open the UI file and see which 1 it is ...

maybe someone should tell me what is meaning of the top sentence ,the phrase "unsupported" does it mean some opearate system may not be surrported?is it should be noticed!

It means there is no support from Stardock for it, it is no longer under development, it is as is.

maybe i have found the reason for this problem,why i have not heard from there ,it is just a little thing need to notice ,but ,no one to say ,so that many friends using this software experice this problem and can not fix it and out .now ,it just need to mention that this software just runs unsuitablely in chinese windows xp operate system,perhaps,it is only used in english windows xp op.so ,as to chinese op ,you should adjust this op to english,this problem should be adjust too.so then ,i have to uninstall this software looking beatiful,but i can not have my wincustomize xp now,sadly!

As I recall JJ can't use it because of the language problem. Some languages it works fine with, but I'm pretty sure Chinese isn't one of them.

Uhhhh..Ya Think??..

LoL..You have 2 choices..perhaps 3.. Change your OS's default language to Chinese... Translate the UIFILE to english...or give up on it and grab a different logon...

Did any one check out the link he downloase it from[comment 3]I have never seen a download link for any Stardock product's that looks like that i think he may have a corrupt version of Logon studio

thanks to all your replies,perhaps the 2 ways are not suitable for me ,i am good at chinese ,but not english.i really want to choose the third way,but ,from that now,i can not easily change my xp ,hehe.having no choice!

Missed it the first time around...it's old.

Hi guys, some new users may encounter "value creation failed at line..." problem when using logonstudio, most possible reason for this is that the language is not English in your computer. To solve this, there are four steps:
1) uninstall logonstudio.
2) Change the language to English in the advanced setting in 'region and language setting' which you can find in control panel. Restart if needed.
3) reinstall logonstudio, and set the logon skin you like. Click apply to see whether it works or not.
4) restart computer. now the logon skin should work.

If you still want to set the language back to original, you can change that after the logon skin is already working. The new change of language will not influence the logon setting anymore.
