I was considering starting a blogsite dedicated to the discussion of marriage. I was going to call it Harry Crabs. My wife balked, so I digress.
There is really no virtual community to compare to the honest, open perspective that Joe User has. There should be more like it. This world would be a much richer, more diverse place.
I, as soooooooo many others are just grateful to be blessed by the absolute intelligence that this community offers.
Thank you so much. And to do it all for free?! Wow!

Just wondering, did somebody hit you with a misery stick? Comes across that way...like they gave you a bloody good hiding with it.
Come on, it's just a bit of fun! What's the harm in that? Okay, so you started the thread over a problem you had, but it has moved on from there and has provided some comic relief from routine and the mundane to those who wished to participate. I don't know why that'd be putting your nose out of joint, but if it's that tiresome to you, well you don't have to keep returning, simple as that.
Also, a bit of humility and respect goes a long way when seeking assistance.

You know what? I agree with you and, I wouldn't continue to return to this farse of a thread....
but Google is all over this ****.
And, as far as the "misery" stick goes....I have a family member dying tonight. I don't want my thoughts, opinions and complaints to be continued to be turned into a joke. If you had started this thread, you just might feel the same way.
You all wish to have fun at my expense, ignoring all logic, all arguments and play around with the whole subject. That's fine. I'm sure that as soon as I start posting this thread on other Google friendly forums and blogs, this will go the way of the dinosaur. That seems to be the way it goes here.
My complaints to Brad, Stardock and WC going ignored are a tad personal to me. So if you wish to continue to have "a bit of fun" with it, you can go and..................
I wish you the same knowledge I have at this point.
This is a bubble. As with ANY bubble, you will either make dramatic changes, disappear or be absorbed. Either way, I'm not the one who will be crying foul then. The 20-40 people who seem to own this place can only insult so many people. You will reap what you sew.
So keep up your little games if you wish. I will begin to broadcast it myself along with my own take on it. There are many ways to skin a fish and, this place is as fishy as it gets.
I hope that doesn't happen though. I like the software and the concept of sharing artistry. It's the arrogance that I can live without.
My sense of humor with this place left me a long time ago. I certainly don't see anyone pointing out where the inner circle may be way off base. Save Po's submission of Stalin.

Lock it, delete it, put it on a friggin' billboard. Just be done with it.
You all weren't the ones with the original (ignored) problem. I was. I've achieved my goal to obtain a blog. The rest of this is a continuation of the playground semantics that haunts these sites all over the web.
So, can we stop?

It's silly only if you don't know it to be true. But, how do you prove it?
It's a bully pulpit here and it's being used to try and make others be quiet.
So be my guest WC. Keep trying. Better yet just lock the thread. I AM a Stardock purchaser. I AM a WC subscriber. (Guess what I ain't? Can ya figure it out?)
I'm sure that, if I weren't a paying customer/subscriber, you would be doing everything you could to point it out. I think it has even been looked in to within this thread. That with an assortment of other insults. So..........LOCK THE * THREAD.

| Yep, I've seen that error before. it's caused by those pesky web developers trying to implement upgrades to the site. yep, it singles certain individuals out- those who are trying to create a new blog site while the site is being updated. |
I got this too at one point, I just shut down and opened up later, and carried on blogging, and certain things worked better on site, i.ie i could post a forum whereas before I could not it kept erroring out on me
Cool it works now! I am a happy blogger, moody, sometimes catty but generally (spelling?) a happy one! (still hate men though!) LOL ughhhhhhhhhhh

Thing is, they're not....thread has been going in a completely different direction for quite some time....at no-ones expense, I might add. Lighten up, have some fun and enjoy life...it's too short to be hissy fitting over things that don't really matter.

I'm sorry to hear that, truly. However, right now I'm going through a personal hell of my own, with my stepdaughter creating havoc and misery for everyone, and I've had my wife in hospital for the last three weeks as a result of it, so I know only too well how it feels to be in less than desirable circumstances. However, I try to keep my cool, my hurts, frustrations and anger to myself, so as not to be rude and take it out on others. It's not always easy to keep a lid on it, but we have to try ....otherwise it becomes too hard to make friends, too easy to make enemies we can well do without.

Welcome aboard, Jennifer1, it's nice to see you here. It's a great place to come visit and I hope your stay is as enjoyable as mine has been. As for still hating men, well we understand and won't hold that against you. There's some men I don't like too much either, the Oz P.M. being at the top of my list....but then we went to pirating to get away from politics, so I'll leave that one there
BTW, has anybody picked in that cabin boy...reckon he might be dry by now.

So that be what went wrong! Me muvver said I was a boootyful baby, so maybe somewhere in me early childhood (cos I don't remembers it) I got a good flogging with one of them there ugly sticks. I wonders if I might 'ave a belated case fer child abuse?
And if nobody picked him in, we be missing a cabin boy.....them 'igh winds last night might've blowed 'im away.

I shut off the comments allowed on one of my blogs since people would not let it go, you can do the same too you know
If you want to lock the thread then do it - go in to it and edit it and change the settings to no comments allowed - but then you will spoil all the fun everyones having!
You are gaining loads of points off this thread so would be silly to shut it off!

Quite frankly, I see no point in locking or editing the thread now....what's been said and done has been said and done. Just let it die a natural death when it's ready to go of its own accord. Besides, the thread has taken on a humorous side that is far removed from harming anyone, so what would be a valid reason to strike it from the record?
TheGuyPC, I know you had a problem at the start, but that has been resolved and since forgotten by those still coming here, now obviously for other reasons. The thread has become a vehicle for a bit of fun (not at your expense or anyone elses) and has helped to brighten the days of those who visit, so why begrudge them that?
Look, we all have bad hair days (I've had far too many of them back to back since Nov 05), but we should never allow them to interfere in our dealings with others...to allow them to ruin their lives and fun
Now! Has anyone seed that cabinboy....me bathroom n' toilet need a good cleanin'?
