Skins and Internet Explorer v6 "Tabs"

Monday, June 12, 2006 by SheltieMom | Discussion: WindowBlinds

I am running WindowBlinds v5 (most current update thru SDC)... when I am in Internet Explorer 6 and open a new tab, I lose all skinning features on that tab's window. Any ideas on why it's doing this?? Every skin I've used has done this... Thanks for your help!!

Internet Explorer 6

Tabs?

IE7 beta has tabs. Or are you doing something CRAZY with IE6?

Nope, nothing "crazy" ... just using MSN Search Toolbar which gives you the option of using tabs. I don't consider that "crazy", do you?? Visual Styles Skins for Style XP don't do that, I just find it odd that I lose the 'skin' when I open a new tab when using a WindowBlind skin. Any ideas?? Thanks!!

I copied this from Skinartistry, a comment from "Night Train" "I switched to IE 7 a few weeks ago. I love the new features but it's not fully skinnable yet. The tabs are unskinnable and they don't match with many skins. There aren't any icons to be skinned yet so making toolbar icons is a waste of time now.

I guess I am just wondering if anyone else is using IE7 and if they have figured out any tricks yet.

I don't want to go back to 6. I really don't ...but the only skin that matches is one I made and I don't like the color very much"
