Invisible Start panel

With WB5.01 and ODock Plus 1.2, I find that when I get up the Start Panel using either the Windows key or clicking a startmenu shortcut on a dock, the panel comes up invisible. The only indication it is there is the shadow running down the right side. Clicking repeatedly on the StartMenu link will sometimes result in the panel appearing normally, as will (sometimes) clicking where the panel should be immediately after clicking the Start/StartMenu buttons.
Unloading ODock will generally fix the problem, although it may persist the first few times I click the Start button and then settle down.
I have tried a number of skins and it happens with all of them (currently RoyalVista)
Any ideas?

Athlon X2 4200+, 2G RAM
Nvidia Quadro FX 3000 graphics card (Forceware 84.26)

I also am having this problem, and am forced to load a theme that doesn't have any alpha channels in the start menu, or use the classic start button...
It only seems to happen on computers I have, that do NOT support per-pixel shading..
