Hints for uploading wallpapers
Tuesday, June 6, 2006 by vikram sheorey | Discussion: Community
Can anyone give me hints regarding this matter? I've tried twice now and both attempts have been rejected. I am including the .jpg file as well as the .zip file when uploading the skin so I don't know what's going on.
And no, the subject matter is not dodgy.

There are still rules and guidelines to follow at DA, ya might want to browse them before you go on an upload binge..LoL..
There are quite a few other sites you can join as well that will accept your works...
Wallpapers at WC are just more hassle than it's really worth..

| "...the Parent is the bow...the Child is the arrow. The bow shoots the arrow...cares not where it goes" (gibran) |
LoL..I have issues with that theory!... Bows and Arrows do not operate themselves, so wheres the real parent and which are the real children?
Bows and Arrows do not Kill, People kill...

Well, I'll have whatever "Gibran" was having..LoL
Since we are all friends here, LoL, heres a quote on that subject..
"Friends will help you move...
But real friends will help you move bodies..."

That's ok too.
We all make choices and oftentimes those choices are well based on the opinions of others. You have to decide for yourself why you are createing walls and if it matters that some folks (who do a pretty good job and have been doing it a while) don't want them here. And just because they're not wanted here doesn't mean that they won't be wanted somewhere else or that they are bad.Create/don't create. Submit/don't submit. It's all good.

I've made several wallpapers and they all get rejected. I made one today and it was rejected. I'm getting to the point where I just want to give up |
I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. It's all about hermeneutics so what you think about something may mean diddly to someone else and vice versa.
Just have a laugh, do something totally outrageous and when it gets accepted gives us a shout will you?

Remember, this is a skinning site and not a wallpaper site. So the walls have to be good and compliment the skins to make it.Reply #16 Tuesday, June 6, 2006 8:29 PM
Portraits, don't give up---keep plugging along. As you seen in the previous posts, WC is "selective" in their acceptence of walls due to the high number of them they receive.
If you really want them up on WC, you can either take a screen shot of it, and post it that way, or submit it to your site alone

Hope that helps---But, don't give up...if your having fun and enjoying it, why give something up you enjoy just because one or two of your work was not accepted?

Wallpaper acceptance is a loose science at best . .. but it is handled fairly.
You can always upload the wall to your personal site.
