WB5 Error?

Upgrade to version 5.01c[b].007 disables WB config?

Just updated via SDC to latest version:
WindowBlinds 5 [Beta] 5.01c[b].007 6/5/2006

Was running kol's Fresco Black (normal) at the time. Prompted to restart as usual. When restarted, main taskbar not skinned except for

green Start button. Start menu not showing green hover state as per Fresco Black. Restarted again. Same as before. Opened WB config,

switched to Fresco Black Compact. It works. Switched back to non-compact, no skinned taskbar...no green hover-state Start menu items.

Now using Compact Fresco Black.

Preview in WB config shows black taskbar in compact preview, but no taskbar in normal preview, and no (full) Start Menu.

*My Question: What happened to skinned taskbar and Start Menu hover-state green using Fresco Black Normal (non-Compact)??*

Bottom Line: More important issues are up at WC, so this can rest on back burner for awhile. If it doesn't sort itself out, and still bugs me, I'll bring it up again. Just weirdness...

Yeah, problems here too. I had Naiad installed during the update and this: Link is what it look like after...compact or full. No other skins seem to be affected, only the one installed during the update and reboot.

Just an update...I deleted and reinstalled Naiad, rebooted, and still the same problem, but only with that skin. Never had any problems with it, I use it (well, used to until now) all the time.

I got the same update but have no issue with skin running at the time, Bene Gesserit by NetBadger (no sub-styles).....

I wonder if the update only affects sub-styled skins loaded at the time of update, and whether a delete, reinstall...rebuild skin list would fix it???

Thanks for the feedback. I fired it up today, a couple of hours ago, and was running kol's (compact) skin again on bootup. Went to WB config, clicked on substyle "normal", same as yesterday: preview pane in WB config shows no taskbar and no Start Menu...
Yesterday tried "Rebuild skin list"...no change.
Hmmm...
Just glad it was only a small piece of the skin library, not essential flip-flops.
Good thinking re: substyles, starkers.
boss0190, so "delete, reinstall" didn't affect it...? Aargh. Grumps me up when the machinery doesn't do what I want...
...the day's not over...

No, that didn't fix it seldomseen. I was going to just roll back to the previous build, but I had to do a System Restore because of a bad program install and it reverted WB to the previous build, so it's ok for now. I'll wait for the next one.

Wow! Guess what?! Just tried link to Stardock forums, from another thread, found there was an update to the update today, ran it via SDC and rebooted...presto! kol's skin now restored and back whole again like before !!!! Way to go Stardock ! Thanks. Link
