Trouble inserting separator

Task Grouping

Tuesday, May 23, 2006 by John Monsees | Discussion: ObjectDock

I have OD+ and can not figure out how to create a grouped task? I tried to insert a "New Separator" and nothing appears on the Tabed Dock. I can, though, insert a New Separator on the untabed dock.

Which dock background are you using?

Thanks for replying, I believe the default. I didn't change it. What I would like to do is to have one Icon or group bring up another group or icon?

A fly-out menu or normal menu?

Thanks for replying. More like the second. I already use the fly out menu, a really cool feature.

Separators on tabbed docks, are just blank icons. They can be moved by holding down the Shift key, while you left click and drag.

I don't think what your asking is possible...thats pretty much what the flyout menus does. Other than that you will only have tabs that bring up the dock backgrounds with all your icons in there.

Thanks! This is starting to make sense to me. I still can not see the separator (icon), but I did notice a peculiar space in the tabed area between the icons that is wide enough to be another icon. Now if I could figure out how to change it so I could see it?????

Create an icon to use as a separator (however you want it to look) and then use it to create a "new entry" (shortcut) with nothing in the link line or title line.
