Titlebars to the left! (instead on top)

Is it possible to put titlebars of all the windows to the left (vertical) instead of on top (horizontal) while making a skin

I once saw this linux ( I think so...) desktop screenshot where the titlebars were on the left of the windows!
I am thinking of trying to make my first skin, anyone know how or if I can make my titlebars to the left???

That would be very interesting. Was the title text written from top to bottom?
