Multiple users in XP Home

Hi all, first time poster. I'm using the free version of OD on an XP Home machine. My wife doesn't like the program. Is there a way to get it to only run for one XP login? If I move the icon from the All Users startup folder to my startup folder (ie: from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Startup to C:\Documents and Settings\[my name]\Start Menu\Startup), it doesn't run at all.
I'm also running into the issue where occasionally (but not always) OD runs twice at startup. I tried setting it up as a scheduled task (scheduled to run when I log in), that only seems to work if I log in as me right after booting, but not if I log in as me after logging off as someone else (ie: my wife), or when switching users.
Alternatively, is there a way to effectively permanently hide the program, even if it's still running?

I logged in on my wife's side and verified that "Run at startup" is not checked, but the program still comes up.

The only place it seems to want to run at startup is from is All Users\Start Menu\Startup. At the moment, both my and my wife's startup folders are empty. If I put the icon in my startup folder, it refuses to run automatically.

uncheck run at start in config from your side
take the short cut out of all users startup.
reboot and it should not start on either side.
run it from start > all programs, then open config on your side and check run at startup
I believe it's the shortcut in the all users startup that's causing it to run on both sides - got no technical skill so I could be wrong.

On the "startup" tab uncheck the OD entry.

I'm here.
The issue is the seemingly wacky way that OD sets itself up to run at startup. So far I've noticed that whenever you check "Run at startup", several things happen:
1. The OD icon is created in All Users\Start Menu\Startup,
2. Two items are added to MSConfig's Startup list: one under "Startup" and one under "Common Startup".
One would think that any one of these would be sufficient to load the program automatically at startup. However, if any one of these items is messed with, the program refuses to load at all during startup (loading it manually via Start > Programs has never been an issue).
The ultimate cause of issue may very well be in Windows itself. Oddly enough, even though my wife doesn't want the program to run at all on her side, it seems to start up fine every time (no double loading, etc). Thanks for all the advice guys, I will give it one last shot before I nuke/pave, then reinstall everything.

I let OD (free) install in the default paths, opened configuration, clicked run at startup and it shows up for me and not my wife.
If she wants to run it she can but it doesn't run automatically on her side.
Does your wife's side have run at start up checked in OD?
