I'm finally up and running with my new PC. Athlon 64 4400+, Gb RAM, Asus A8N-SLi, GeForce 7600GT etc.
Not only does it look good, it's fast too. Here a snap from 3d2001SE showing my pc in 3rd place overall for a 7600GT. Mine is not overclocked or tampered with in any way:

It's not the ultimate of course, you pay three to four times as much for that, but it makes me smile. What more could you ask?

Huh. Shows you what I know. I didn't have a clue you couldn't change Rez with them.

I just built my new one about 3 weeks ago.
I went with the Asus A8N-E (I don't game much, so the SLI didn't mean that much to me.)
AMD 4200+ X2, GB of RAM, Radeon X550 graphics card (again, not much of a gamer, so I saved a few bucks here.)
250GB SATA2 hard drive, all in a Raidmax Sagitta case.
No nice pictures to show. Spent all my $$ on PC parts instead of a camera.

I bet games move really nice on that one.
I am going to the other side of the fence for my next rig in September (Intel-based 20" iMac - 2 Ghz. dual core) - test drove it at the local Apple store and loved the response and simplicity.
The current notebook (Dell modified to Intel 760 dothan core) will have to do for PC platform OS and apps - at least until the next Intel family processors hit full stride.
