I thought that this site had some class. Don't get me wrong. I've spent considerable amount of time looking at things on the net that I would consider ehh, for adults only. So my question is this: Is this site now allowing images/language/data that has the words - blow job, penis, anal sex, condomn, bitch, bastard......
So if that is what this site is going to be about, allow then I'll make sure that my kids don't go here anymoe and I will alos tell any friends that I know who frequent WC to beware. That's free speech too. [link removed, as was screenshot] - Jafo

The moderators on Wincustomize.com are responsible for the content that is accessible on Wincustomize.com. They are answerable to the Owners of Wincustomize.com who in turn provide policy guidelines under which Wincustomize.com is 'governed'.
OK...so I win some kind of prize for posting our 'name' 4 times in one paragraph, but the reality remains. Wincustomize.com is NOT answerable to some arbitrary tenets of an 'FCC' but only by what is considered by the community at large...[this community, not another's] as appropriate.
Censorship is not an imposition on one's freedom of speech...not here, at least...but a determined 'limit' within-which we all agree to 'play' [a 'playground' as you call it].
Those responsible for determining what stays and what goes are almost always 'on the ball', and are really never second-guessed.
The result of our 'selectivity' is not hypocrisy, but actually a fair and equitable balance.
Those who claim otherwise are really simply voicing displeasure that THEIR choices did not meld with those of the majority...

First, Yes, I threatened violence to anyone who would show my children pictures of naked people. I will not apologize for that. There are no accepted "standards" for anyone doing such a thing. As far as I'm concerned, it would be YOUR motives at question, NOT my threats. I don't know if you're Pope John Paul, Joe Pedophile or Jeffrey Dahlmer! Am I supposed to think any other way?

An examination of my "Motives". A small bit of "justice", sure. Other then that, you wouldn't believe me.

I will admit, there were other pictures shown if you clicked that link. You did, however, have to scroll down, which was your choice. These were NOT the pic's I was pointing out. Though I fail to see how they were more offensive then a Penis.

An examination of your own motives would serve you well. I did little more than post a link. You are allowing nudity, illegal drug images, you allow humiliation of Gay's and...on and on. I most likely can't say Oh S**t! Yet you have a recycle bin saying just that. So, what is arbitrary?

I want the best for this place. Believe it or not, I don't care about that stupid link. I had software installed on my computer a long time ago that had a revolving gear on a pointed nail. I know some of where all of this started. As I told the good folks at Stardock, "You've built up quite a little empire here". They were humble.
Most people couldn't care less. Most people would just dispose of all of this and never buy the software that makes it all possible. That ain't me. Sorry that this bothers you. What happened to me, as much as it makes me mad, is just a symptom of the overall problem. I have read several reviews that most certainly did NOT have the whole
thing going on. At least one of them at Download.com. (NO, it wasn't me) called the people a Stardock "jerks". This is completely contrary to my experience and, I've posted as much.......about Stardock. Here? I have to wonder who this person was talking about.If I had bad motives, if I didn't respect the software, the price, what the authors contribute and, I wanted these sites to fail, I WOULDN'T BOTHER. But...

Firstly it's 'Gays' [if that term 'must' be used...
Nudity has always been allowed on Wincustomize.com.
Always.
Determination of its limits is by the site Administration, answerable ultimately to the site Owners.
Secondly, it is the drugs which 'may' be illegal, not their depiction.
Thirdly, IF there exists an instance of discrimination for, against, of, or by 'Gays' please indicate where and it will be dealt with, as will its 'author'. That IS in violation of site rules [not to mention common decency and moral standards].
Again, just to clarify...to show a distinction between the two items of 'issue'.
One is a simplistic and not blatantly sexual or debasing graphic adopted for a bootskin work...something actually about what Wincustomize.com is FOR - in this case - bootskins.
The other was an image designed to at best titillate and at worst demean specific individuals. Neither motivation had any relevance to Wincustomize.com or its gallery content what-so-ever.
So...what one sees as some kind of vague double standard can be shown for what it is quite readily - as good common-sense....

If you will take notice, that is an arm, not a Penis.
The admins here at WC do a great job of moderating out vulgar, obscene, and pornographic. You can see more nudity just by turning the television on, then you will find posted at this site. It's great that you actually care about what your children do or do not see, it's rare these days.

The 'penis' to which you refer is the man's left arm. The detail both of this non-penis and the 'half nipple' is dithered 4bit [16 colour] monochrome 'silhouette' [more correctly referred-to as 'posterized']. There ARE 46 colours in the jpg preview....[dithering to 'full colour' does that], but the actual bitmap is 16 as it should be.
Even the most simplistic education regarding human anatomy will demonstrate that it cannot be his penis [as they are not attached at the hip].
One hopes there's an entirely DIFFERENT 'penis' at issue, as this one is non-existent....

I could continue to be a pain about this, but I really don't want to pay someone more edumacatted thenn mahself 2 c if u r tieping everything write. I AM glad you pointed out my typographical error in "Gay's". There are probably a few others around here as well.
I'm sure that the folks that are "gay" or "queer" would find issue with my addition of ' added to Gay's as being worse then being compared to a "Spongebob & Patrick" "Gay" skit?
It's all about respect. Even after all of this started, I had enough respect for Stardock...and...you all, to purchase the program (s). I don't see a whole lot of respect for people who are just realizing that all of this is even possible. But that's your choice. (oh, good grief! should I have put that ' there or not?).......contemplate.....contemplate.
I want to help. I want to learn. Everything else is B.S. At least to me.
You may see me as a simplistic, uneducated pimple on your behind that will not go away. That is your choice. As for me? I have access to a person or two that may like what can be offered here. As it stands, I'd rather have them stand naked in public. I have seen the kind of response that their "WinCustomize" ignorance can get. I'm still seeing it.
I've seen not one "concession" from anyone here. This is what I will remember. You've made it clear that I have absolutely no argument. Re-reading the post that started this thread, I'm not sure that, that person did either. It does seem a bit contradictory that someone complaining about the usage of the word "Penis" should post the same word in his/her complaint about.
Whatever. Citizen rychian is better at these things than I.
P.S.-Last I checked...I wasn't banned and, I don't remember being asked to leave. This is a compliment to those I completely disagree with. To paint this otherwise is brilliant considering the way this has gone. I don't know about the others (obviously), but as for me, I think you have just gained access into WC Heaven.
I'm most likely wrong in this opinion as well. I used to get along with my wife like this. Weird!

TheGuyPc If you were to be honest, this isn't an issue with the items mentioned is it? It's about your link being removed and you feeling hard done to. I suggest you go and examine your motives more closely.
