Actually the "yellow thing" is what's known in the US as a "Peep". Peeps are an Easter tradition (even more so in the Eastern US as the Just Born manufacturing company is in Pennsylvania - a short drive from where I live). Peeps are a marshmallow shaped form (usually in the shape of small ducks/birds but also lately as bunnies, eggs, and even Christmas shapes for that season's festivities). The marshmallow shape is then covered in finely colored sugar crystals (the prevelant being yellow but there's also pink, blue, purple, white, and now brown and a chocolate marshmallow underneath) making for an extremely sticky mess if you don't shove the whole thing in your mouth. You name must refer to your dogs-- even after seeing your dog pics, I had it in my head that you & they were Danish. Shows where a one-track mind goes.

Thanks for the heads up there, DD! I had no idea what a Peep was until my 'ignorance' was corrected by your explanation.....and I'll be sure to avoid the sticky mess when trying some out.

Very amusing...I liked the Peep surgery bit, especially the stapling part.
