How To: Create odock file?

Newby Question

Thursday, March 30, 2006 by robertlankford | Discussion: Docks

I am trying to upload a new dock icon to the website, but simply do not know how to meet the requirements of the submission form. (by the way, why isn't there a big old help button on the submission form to answer common questions about the process?) I need to upload my PNG file in a odock container, but I have no idea how to create this file.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Its simply a renamed zip file... just rename the file from whatever.zip to whatever.odock. However! You probably dont need to upload as a .odock file if you're just submitting a png icon. Just put it in a zip file, and upload it... the submission requirements are for ObjectDock themes. Dont worry about that.

I can confirm, ZIP files upload fine. Just be sure to correctly select your upload category.
