It's The comments

Tuesday, March 21, 2006 by Bandit4edu | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Gotta love skinning and building icons and stuff, but it's the comments...even if it's just a simple "Hey I'll use that one" that keeps a designer posting...at least in my opinion.

This was a great post. I think I'll print this out and use it everywhere I have wallspace. Man, just great work. I think I love you.

I'm kind of shocked. This coming from someone who has requested icons in thr 'rare icon' thread where Bandit4edu busts his hump making them. In fact, the one you requested on the 19th, he knocked out for you by the next morning and this is how you say 'Thanks'?

I really don't know what else to say without losing my cool. So I'll just say 'Visualize Whirled Peas'.

The wink was critical. But tone is hard to convey via textual communication.

The internet is terrible for sarcastic people like me. I meant nothing by it. I apologize for any miscommunication.

I certainly appreciate Bandit's work on icons, as well as everyone else working on them. I appreciate everyone who contributes to WC.

That rare icon thread is what got me posting here at WC. The work the creators put into the icons is amazing. I was expecting good work, but I was shocked at how great the quality was. And the creators were quick, AND kind .

I agree with Bandit; which is why I always try my best to say thank you for any work another person does for me .

I only wish I could find some more programs just to request icons and see more awesome work .

Ok, Ok lets not squabble....It was a stupid post, and adamness is right, I shoulda kept my mouth shut. The way I look at it, though, is I've designed a few icons that folks use and NOW I've designed Adamness' wallpaper pattern! (need conformation on that for my resume, adamness) Thanks to all who defended, and to those who had nerve to tell me to keep the drivel off the boards...now back to the real world, friends.

I don't think there was anything wrong with this post and infact, I agree with it. The first time I posted/shared one of my works on here, all I was thinking about was how well it would be recieved. One skin never even got any comments, and some only got 1 or 2. But the feedback kept me going. Sometimes , just one good response is enough to keep you inspired.

Let's face it. We're not doing it for the money. We do it because we love it, we have an artistic side that needs to be expressed, and we want what we create to be accepted and liked. Besides, I think I'm addicted and couldn't stop if I wanted.

My name is Po' Smedley and I'm a skinaholic.
