Logon XP doesn't start with very updated computer

Friday, March 17, 2006 by Stefano Namari | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

On March 14,2006 I've bought a new Vaio VGN-SZ1VP. I've downloaded and launched LogonStudio.exe and everything seems OK and all the folders appears on C:\Prgram Files. But when I reeboot my computer Logon Studio doesn't start and the classic Windows logon screen appears. Anybody knows if some of the latest Microsoft patch disable Logon Studio? If yes how can I remove it?

I have all of the latest patches on my machine and logons still work. Did you run LogonStudio after you installed it and did you apply a logon that came with it or one that you downloaded? If you lock your computer using WinKey+L does the logon you applied show up? Are you getting any errors in your Event viewer?

I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling Logon Studio. It should install in C:\program files\wincustomize\Logon Studio. All the LS files and the folders for the individual logons should be there. Make sure after you reinstall that Logon Studio is working with one of the logons that come with it, and then reboot and see if that works. If not, let us know here. Good luck!
