Lines on screen.

I have a problem with small, randomly appearing lines on my desktop when running windowblinds, which dissappear
if I move a window over them. I'm running windows x64.
I'm using:
Radeon 1900xtx
DFI lanparty expert
AMD Athlon 64 3200+

Sounds like it could be a driver issue. Are they up to date?
The information from WB's "System Information" page in it's setting would help.

I am only running XP home and this happens to me :/. Only in high intensity programs like Photoshop CS2 tho 
. I fix it the saem way you do; run a window over it. Minimizing and then bringing it back up helps too.
My video drivers are all up to date, and I don't know whats wrong.

(also, this only happened with WB5 full version. When I was usuing the trial, this never happened)

Thanks for the replies. No overclock and latest drivers. I found that
it does it when I unload windowblinds as well.

Because of this post I found out why I was getting line corruptions when using MSN Explorer over another maximized window. If I lined up my cursor just right over the line it turned out to be the title bar from the window below. The lines could be anywhere on the MSN window. Disabling Cursor XP cures the problem. Another weird thing with Cursor XP.

Unless I'm mistaken, CursorXP also seemed to be a bit of a resource hog as well.

I think that any custom cursor program will give you an occasional conflict. I downloaded Blender and it recommends not using any custom cursor because of menu corruptions when you mouse over them. That's about the only thing I've learned about Blender. Think I'll stick to the 3D programs I've invested money in. I still use CursorXP most of the time and the only time I see it using resources is when you move the cursor. Other than that it's pretty minimal. I'm thinking it's something to do with the original Windows configuration of cursors since CursorXP seems to have hit a developmental wall a couple of years ago. Still will use it 90% of the time, the little white arrow can get pretty boring.

I'd like to use it but it appears to have issues with my card.
As was mentioned by Majic7, the lines are are small pieces of titlebar, window and desktop grahics that get frozen in place untill another window passes over it and wipes it away. I believe I started getting the lines when I installed my Radeon 1900xtx becuase I used to use it with my nvidea 6600GT just fine. I was briefly running my radeon with 32 bit windows and I noticed the lines appearing there as well. It could be that cursorXP has an issue with radeon cards, or perhaps the x1900 model. I don't know if it's just placebo effect, but my windows x64 seems a lot faster with cursorXP diabled as well.

Hehe. I don't know how many times I have updated Blender after I first installed it, but every time I just look at it for five minutes and give up. I need to set aside some time at some point and properly look into it.
