Standard/Zooming docks cannot be placed away from the screen edge. Open the Properties dialog for the dock > Positioning. You can set it for any screen edge, with aligment options. These options are also accessable by right clicking a blank spot of the dock.

If you create a tabbed dock with the same objects on it you can place it anywhere you want.

Right-click the ObjectDock icon in your systray (I see it in your screenshot).
Choose "My Docks"
Click "Create New Tabbed Dock"

Click on the section called "Tabs and styles"
From here you can delete tabs you dont want (I think you only want one).

Once you are down to one you can close the properties box.
Right click on an empty part of the dock and choose "New entry"
In the "Shortcut" combo box choose "My Computer". Repeat for "My Documents"

Done.

Customize colors and stuff as you want.
