Anybody know why (in the expanded view) I'm getting the moon during the day and the sun at night?

My guess would be the timezone is not set properly or something along those lines.. Haven't used ND much myself but I would start by making sure it's properly configured for your timezone and zipcode or whatever it uses to glean info about your location.

Why would I not properly configure it?

I almost never look at that image.

Time to hit up GreenReaper in IRC.

It was simply a suggestion. Next time maybe post that you already know everything and that you just wanted to complain in a public forum and that no one should try to help.

Kevin, Gregory indicated that only one part of ND was responding incorrectly. I made the assumption (based on him not giving any other information) that his issue was the only issue. You went the other way.

Gregory, Kevin was trying to help and your response could be (and was) construed as one who didn't need or want help; that you knew everything there was to know. You could have said, "Thanks for the suggestion, but I already did that." See . . . same message, much cooler.

I have lost count of the number of tiems I have spent hours trying to fix something to have my wife walk over and say something to the effct of, "Is it plugged in?" I get mad at her insinuating taht I'm an idiot. 20 minites later I find that it WASN'T plugged in. -=sigh=-

Try to remember that textual communication does not always communicate the nuances of the spoken word. It's better to error on the side of positive relations.

Everyone be cool. Be helpful. And ping GreenReaper.

I've gotten this problem on occasion and I've found that the ND wasn't communicating with the weather station. Try putting in the zip code and picking another location that is close but not the top one on the list of locations and see if it appears correctly (temp, time, day/night image, and weather outside image-clouds,rain, etc.).
If it does appear correctly when choosing a second location you can be that your first choice just isn't updating at the current time and just wait a day or two for it to come back online again.
