Question: What Certification Is Best To Get
I'm getting A+ but what is next after that?

Great right?
So basically I will be able to do Help Desk level one somewhere hopefully and get my foot in the door after trying for almost 3 years (also, since they are funded by many companies who need entry level techs, the hiring rate for the program hovers around 80%... although I am not sure what that means as far as how long they were looking for work).
So I am left wondering, if I want to get paid more than 30,000 a year, what certification should I get next? What experiences should I be looking for?

And for what it's worth, the certs give you an edge over an equal, but they are not a job winner in themselves.
Build a resume (and interview story/spiel/skills) around how you have saved X amount of Y (time, money, processes, etc) and how you have provided good customer service.
Lot's of peopel have (or can get)technical skills. It's the other stuff that differentiats a winner.

But what I really seem to want to get into also is working with applications (not making them so much, mind you, just working with them). I see that all the time in the want ads online. They always want some speciallist in some appliation(s).
Anyway, thanks guys for the replys. I'll look into Cisco yrag.

The other certs I guess will be whatever the company wants that I am hired for.
The school I am going to is really a godsend. Did I tell you you can get MAC (old refirbished ones) for 50 bucks? Authorized dealer to boot (same with PC's and Microsoft)
They rebuild, recycle and train. They sell refurbished computers back to the community (the poorest community distric in the US) and other stuff!
THIS IS MY CHANCE!!!
Anyway, does anypne think the certs that I am thinking about are good start certs (IE A+, Network+ and Security)?
